Venison Chops and Black Jack
Ingredient List:
6 venison chops
2 Tbsp safflower oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 lemon, sliced
1/2 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
salt and pepper
6 Tbsp tomato catsup
4 Tbsp Jack Daniel's, Black Label Whiskey
Assembly Instructions
  • In a large skillet, heat safflower oil and brown chops over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper generously. When browned, place the chops in a shallow baking dish. Place one onine slice and one lemon slice on top of each chop. Combine remaining ingredients and spoon over the top of each chop.
  • Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove the cover and bake 25 minutes or until done. Spoon basting sauce over chops occasionally.
