- Melt butter in large saucepan over medium heat.
- Add oil and heat for 2 minutes
- Add onion and sauté until pale golden
- Add catsup, bourbon, vinegar, orange juice, maple syrup, molasses, worcestershire sauce, pepper, liquid smoke, and salt.
- Bring to simmer, stirring frequently
- Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until mixture is thick and glossy, stirring occasionally.
